We had an absolutely amazing summer holiday period for installations this year! Not only did we smash our record of the number of engineers deployed out to site but we installed a whopping 108 BenQ interactive touchscreens in just 6 weeks!
Students from over 10 different schools and colleges returned to start the new school year to find their classrooms displaying shiny new interactive touchscreens.
As one of the leading suppliers to schools in our area, we have found that despite the doom and gloom presented by the media, schools and colleges have always recognised the benefits of investing in exciting audio visual and IT solutions for their settings to maximise the learning potential of their young students and this year was a great example of that!
Over the years, the classroom presentation solution has evolved from the simple chalkboard to be replaced with plain whiteboards in the 1980s and 1990s.
Then with the invention of interactive technology, this was soon replaced with the interactive whiteboard and projector solution.
Over the past 5 years, interactive led touchscreens have taken the place of projectors and whiteboards, where students can proactively interact with the lessons via a tablet or device if the teacher invites them to.
Every year, in the months leading up to the summer break, we work closely with education buyers to help them decide where best to spend their budget to achieve the desired outcome they are looking for.
We have always prided ourselves on our honest, consultative approach to supplying to schools and are proud of the savings we have been able to make for the education sector.
As well as keeping up with the demand for classroom upgrades over the summer, our engineers were also kept busy with CCTV, door access control and network cabling projects for our education customers.
When asked how he found the summer projects he worked on this year, Lead Engineer, Rob Marshall said;
“One of the best aspects of my job as an Installations Engineer at Protech Solutions is the sense of satisfaction I get when a job is finished and I see the transformation in the classroom”.
In previous years, the demand for upgrades has been seasonal with most of our customers preferring their works to be carried out during the school holiday period, while the children are away.
However, this year has shown a slight dip in this trend, with a fair number of organisations scheduling their works during term time as well. They are reassured that all of our engineers are DBS checked and are able to carry out their work with the highest sensitivity for the children’s learning and therefore deliver the end result with minimum interruption to the school day.
We are very proud of our contribution to the education sector and are extremely grateful for the opportunity it presents for us to use our expertise to improve the individual learning potential of each and every student who has access to the equipment we have installed.
Long may it continue!
