Best Family Business in Hertfordshire 2023 – SME Hertfordshire Business Awards
We are thrilled to announce that Protech Solutions was recently awarded the fantastic accolade of SME Chamber of Conscience Silver Winner of the Best Family Business of the Year award. This award marks a very special milestone for Protech as it comes as we celebrate our 15th year in business.
Over the years, our priority has always been to achieve the objective of exceeding our customer’s expectations and this continues to be our sole motivation. However, this year we were lucky enough to have been shortlisted as finalists for two awards; The biz4Biz Best Technology Services Provider and the SME Herts Best Family Business, which provides further validation that we are doing the best job we can do.
Winning recognition as Best Family Business of the Year is a wonderful achievement for us as we place family values at the heart of everything we do as a company. We are very proud of our family roots and we treat all of our staff and customers as members of the Protech family.
Formed in 2008, Protech Solutions was started by husband and wife team Paul and Suzanne Marshall alongside their business partner and (Godfather to their daughter), Richard Jones.
It has been an exciting journey from their humble beginnings, servicing one or two customers with data cabling installations to where they find themselves today – An award-winning AV, IT, and security installations company, looking after thousands of schools, organisations, and businesses. Their team has grown from 3 to 10 staff and they are continuing to grow.
Sponsored by Wenzels the Bakers, this prestigious award was awarded to Protech Solutions at the luxurious Tewinbury Farm Hotel in Tewin, Hertfordshire at the glittering awards final on 14th September 2023 and was hosted by Heart Radio Hertfordshire DJs.
This year, a record number of entries were received into the SME Hertfordshire Business Awards, which made reaching the finals even more rewarding as it was no easy feat to get there!

2023 saw the sixth year of the SME Hertfordshire Business Awards, raising the profile of industrious, hardworking, and enterprising SMEs locally.
Protech is already looking forward to 2024 and the opportunity of winning a second (or dare we say it, third) award.
