We are very proud to provide CCTV installations for educational trusts and over the summer, we serviced three of the schools at The United Learning Trust.

Each school required a substantial upgrade on their site security to replace the old, outdated analogue technology and replace it with IP cameras, which produce crisp HD images, which can be viewed remotely in real time. We were very happy to be able to help them to fulfil this requirement.

CCTV Installations for Education Trust: Scope of Works

Salisbury Manor Primary, Chingford

We carried out the supply and installation of a Hikvision 4MP IP CCTV solution (scroll down to see further information about the equipment installed). This consisted of 11 cameras (9 x 2.8/4mm fixed lens colorvu bullet (Colour image at night) and 2 x ceiling mounted 2.8/4mm fixed lens turret cameras). All cameras have been re-cabled in external Cat5e either to the new NVR or to the existing Library switch. A 32-channel 16TB NVR has been installed in the Server room. We ran a new approx. 35m fibre optic HDMI cable from the Server Room through the suspended ceiling to a new wall-mounted (articulated) 27” monitor in the school office. Whilst on site, we moved one of the existing cameras to face it in the opposite direction.

Whittingham Primary Academy, Walthamstow

We supplied and installed a Hikvision 4MP IP CCTV solution, consisting of 22 cameras (11 x 2.8/4mm fixed lens colorvu bullet (Colour image at night), 8 x 2.8mm ceiling mounted 2.8mm fixed lens turret and 3 x PTZ cameras). All cameras have been re-cabled in either internal or external Cat5e. We installed a 32-channel 16TB NVR in the server room, from where we ran a new approx. 20m fibre optic HDMI cable through the suspended ceiling to a new wall-mounted 27” monitor in the school office.

Longshaw Primary Academy, Chingford

The supply and installation of a Hikvision 4MP IP CCTV solution. This solution consisted of 26 cameras (15 x 2.8/4/6mm fixed lens colorvu bullet (Colour image at night), 8 x ceiling mounted 2.8/4/6mm fixed lens turret and 2 x 2.8 – 12mm varifocal bullet cameras). We re-cabled all cameras in external Cat5e either to the new NVR or to a new 8 port Netgear PoE switch. A 32-channel 16TB NVR has been installed in the Server room, from where we ran a new approx. 45m fibre optic HDMI cable externally to a new wall-mounted 27” monitor in the school office.

Equipment

Although we do not exclusively supply Hikvision technology, we do often recommend Hikvision CCTV cameras as we find that the quality is excellent and extremely price competitive.

The trust was happy with our recommendation and commissioned the supply and installation of various quantities of the following across each of the 3 school sites;
