AUDIO VISUAL PRESENTATION SOLUTIONS FOR NEWLY BUILT ACTIVITY CENTRE
The Brief
In celebration of the 150th anniversary of St George’s College, a brand new Activity Centre has been built to transform the sports facilities at the school.
We were asked to help them design and build audio visual presentation solutions to reflect the dynamic tone of the new build and provide facilities for it’s dual use as a centre for whole school gatherings, community activities and exhibitions.
7000 lumens projector
As shown in the image opposite, the first of the audio visual presentation solutions we integrated for the school consisted of a new Epson EB-G7900U 7000 lumen WUXGA projector and long throw lens, which has been mounted onto the rear wall to project onto a new 3m 16:10 electric projection screen mounted on a stand-off.
We also enhanced the audio of the centre by installing 2 x Ecler Verso 8P powered speakers at the rear of the hall, one either side of the projector. These have been fed from the audio output of the projector.
A Cat6 HD Base-T connection was run from the projector to the presentation point where it was presented on a Cat6 outlet. An Atlona Juno HD Base-T transmitter has also been supplied.
To make it super accessible, a trigger has been installed to the projector allowing the screen to drop automatically when the projector is turned on.
Screens for display
Another large element of the supply of audio visual presentation solutions to the activity centre included the installation of 9 x 55″ flat screen TVs throughout the centre for multiple usage from digital signage to display solutions in the exhibition centre.
In addition to this we provided all the Cat6 cabling for each of the screens, the projector and speakers. All AV plates included HDMI, VGA and USB.
