We were asked by Queens School to help them convert 3 classrooms as a part of their ICT Suite refresh strategy.
Following our initial site survey, we were able to complete a full and comprehensive bespoke design for the new ICT suites. Not only did the plan include a design of the modular benching, but it also detailed the requirements for network cabling in each of the rooms. A breakdown of each classroom is detailed below;
Furniture
We supplied and installed modular student benching featuring steel frame, 18mm tops, and cable grommets. All benches were built on site by our skilled engineers and bolted together.
Network Cabling
Cat6 network outlets; 1 for each of the student positions and 2 in the teacher area. These were run from the existing network cabinet in the server room, through the suspended ceiling to the containment and the teacher outlets were installed within the new dado trunking. The student benching outlets exited the dado trunking below desk level and have been run and terminated in the cable basket.
