Leading the way in IT and audio-visual equipment and installations

Congratulations to our Apprentice, Adam

Apprentice Installations Engineer, Adam Smith is presented with his certificate by John Robson of CableCom Training and Richard Jones, Operations Director of Protech Solutions

We are very pleased to announce that after 14 months of hard work, our Apprentice Installations Engineer, Adam Smith has successfully completed his Apprenticeship.

Having completed his apprenticeship through CableCom Training, Adam has now started in his role of Installations Engineer at Protech. He has achieved a B-TECH Intermediate IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professional qualification.

He can now add the following to his repertoire of experience;

♦ The ability to offer technical advice and guidance

♦ Working with ICT Hardware and Equipment

♦ Technical Fault Diagnosis

♦ Testing ICT Systems

♦ Copper Cabling and Fibre Optic networking

We are very proud of Adam and have been very impressed by his hard work and commitment towards completing his course and learning all aspects of the role he has been training for.

Protech Director, Paul Marshall adds;

We are a pro-active company and like to encourage young people to join our industry by offering them training and the chance to learn a new trade. We have supported him in any way we can alongside course provider, CableCom Training.

For anyone else considering starting their career through an Apprenticeship scheme, Adam says;

“It’s the best decision I ever made.  Because of my hearing difficulties, I had experienced lots of set-backs in my employment search before I discovered this opportunity with Protech Solutions.  After just one year, I now have a qualification in IT and Telecoms and a new skill as an IT and AV Engineer. I am excited for my future now as a member of the Protech team, whereas before I felt my options were limited. I am grateful to Paul and Protech Solutions for recognizing my potential and giving me a chance to succeed.”

Protech are hoping to recruit another Apprentice towards the end of the year in order to grow our team of engineers and offer training opportunities to eager and determined young people keen to pursue a career in our industry.
