The client was looking to upgrade their home entertainment system and asked us to advise on the best equipment to ‘future-proof’ the system so that they will be able to add to it as technology changes.
We replaced the old system with new wiring behind a built-in bookcase and within the walls and ceiling. This was in preparation for the installation of a new ceiling-mounted 5000 lumens projector and 110-inch electric screen. In addition to that, we installed a completely new Kef 5.1 surround sound system (including amplifier and speakers).
One of the main challenges of the room was the ambient light from wall to wall and floor to ceiling sliding doors, leading out onto the garden. This is why we recommended the high brightness 5000 lumens Full HD projector. This solution worked brilliantly, producing a sharp image even on the sunniest of days.
We also installed a trigger which means that when the screen is activated, the screen automatically turns on.
The project coincided with substantial house renovations, but we ensured that the install ran smoothly and met the customer’s expectations.
We provided a full briefing to the customer so that they would fully understand how to use the system and have been on hand to answer any further questions they may have.
